(12.10 a.m.), 1,675 tons, M‘Donald, for Tauranga via ports. ARRIVED.— February 8. Awarua, tug (8.50 a.m.), 411 tons, Hazard, from Bluff. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Poolta, sailed shortly after midnight for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and fanranga Breeze, arrived yesterday from Lyttel ton, and is to sail to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. . Storm, is due from Bluff on Saturday to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. Waimariuo, arrived at Bluff at 9 o’clock this morning. She is to sail at 9 p.m to-day, and will he at Dunedin to-morrow morning. The vessel is scheduled to sail on Saturday for Oamaru, Timaru. Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. , Wingatui, is to leave Auckland tomorrow for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is due on Thursday. . . Holmdale, arrived this morning from Wellington, and is to sail this evening for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via ports. ■ Port Whangarei, has been deayed by rain in the north, and is now due on Saturday. She will sail for the north on the same day. Awarua, the Bluff Harbour oßard s tug, arrived at Port Chalmers this morning, and went into dock for cleaning and overhaul. INTERISLAND SERVICE. The interisland express steamer Rangatira arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.45 a.m. to-day. Passengers and mail for the south connected with the express. MATAKANA FOR AUCKLAND. The Matakana, en route from Liverpool to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff left Balboa last Saturday afternoon. She is due at Auckland on February 24. WAIKOUAITI TO-MORROW. The Union Company advises that the Waikouaiti was scheduled to leave Bluff at 2.30 p.m. to-day, having been delayed by rain. She is due to-morrow, and is timed to leave this port on Monday for Timaru and Lyttelton. CAPE COMORIN FROM GALVESTON. The Cape Comorin is expected to arrive at Auckland from Galveston on March 7 with a cargo of bulk sulphur. She will discharge about 1,650 tons at Auckland, and will then proceed to New Plymouth. ""PORT GISBORNE AT LONDON. The Port Gisborne is replacing the Port Fremantle, which was to leave London on February 14 for Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Nelson via Suva. She is due at Dunedin on March 28, and the schedule is unchanged. TOFUA TO BE SCRAPPED. The Union Company’s passenger steamer Tofua has been sold to Japanese buyers. The vessel lias been in the stream at Auckland since April 15, 1932. She is to leave for Japan in ballast during March or April to be broken up for scrap metal.

COPTIC IN BALLAST. 'The Coptic left London last Saturday in ballast for New Zealand ports. She is commencing loading at Napier, and is due to arrive there about March 9. RUAHINE DELAYED. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Ruahine lias been delayed, and will not now reach Dunedin until February 16, two days late. KARAMEA AT LONDON. The Kararaea, which left Lyttelton on December 30, is reported to have reached London last Saturday morning. PERSONALS. Captain C. Sharpe has taken command of the Kini, relieving Captain F. W. Collins, for holidays. Captain W. A. Gray has taken command of the Waimarino, relieving Captain A. H. Prosser for holidays. Mr W. J. Hill, late chief officer of the Wainui, is now taking holidays at Wellington. Mr E. A. Cox has joined the Kartigi as chief officer, relieving Mr T. A. MacPherson, who will go to Sydney for holidays. Mr C. R. Carlyon, who has been on R.N.R. leave, has joined the Tamahine as third officer. The Ngahero was placed in commission at Sydney last week, and is commanded by Captain R. Huntly. His deck officers are: Chief, Mr J. W. Thomson; second, Mr J. Joyes; third, Mr R. Kendall. . Mr A. C. Moull has rejoined the Rangatira as first electrician after holiday leave. , . . ~ Mr W.
