ATHLETIC CHAMPIONSHIPS
OTAGO TEAM SELECTED The following have been chosen by the selectors (Messrs E. L. Macassey, E. C. Isaacs, and B. R. M'Kernan) to represent Otago in the New Zealand amateur athletic championships at Wellington on February 16 and 17:— A. A. Cameron (North Otago): §hot putt, high jump, long jump, hop-step-and-jump, discus throwing, hammer throwing. M. R. Spillane (North Otago) : Hammer throwing, tliscus throwing. R. 0. Johnson (Anglican) : Role vault, hop-step-and-jnmp. V. Newall (Anglican) : Javelin throwing. 1. 0. Manson (Invercargill); 120yds hurdles, 220yds low hurdles, 440yds hurdles. A. L. Price (Anglican) : 440yds. I. Craig (Hanover Baptist) : One mile and half-mile. L. C. M'Lachlan (Civil Service) : Half-mile and mile. A. R. Geddes (Civil Ser vice) : One mile and three mile. B. Tapley (Anglican): 100yds and 220yds. E. C. Brown and C. A. Pope will represent Civil Service and St. Kiida respectively in the marathon race. Messrs B. R. M'Kernan and R. E. Dimick (Onmaru) were appointed joint managers of the team. Messrs M'Kernan and Dimick were appointed to represent Otago at the annual conference of centres.
