A message from Kobe states that the magazine ‘ Gendai ’ published an interview in which Admiral Suetsugu declared that Colonel Lindbergh had carried out espionage work on the coastal fortifications of Japan, causing indignation in America. Representative Kiyose demanded an explanation, and the Minister of the Navy replied that Admiral Suetsugu had not written the article. He confessed that the article went too far, but he declared that an explanation had been communicated to the American Press,
