RETURNED SOLDIERS’ AFFAIRS
MEETING OF R.S.A. EXECUTIVE The Executive Committee of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association met‘last • night, those present being Messrs A. J. Gordon (president), W. F. Forrester, A. Thomas, H. L. Paterson, A. Leeden, G. H. Ferens, A. €»■ Laing, B. Ellis, A. S. Falconer, J. S. :i Skinner, A. M'Hutchon, and P. S. Anderson.
The nominations of four new mem-, hers were approved. Three transfers' outward and two transfers inward were approved. The death was reported of 35002 G.M. Cairns, Kaitangata, a member of the. association, and a motion of condolence with the relatives was carried.'
.The membership of the New, Zealand R.S.A. at December 31 was reported to be 18,238, and it was stated that a number of returns had . not yet been forwarded to headquarters. It was reported that, in the membership campaign contest between Dunedin and Christchurch, the figures at February 1 were: Dunedin, 2,106; Christchurch, 1,941.
