LONDON, February 4. ‘The Times’ says: “ Thousands of pounds’ worth of antiques, works of art, and pictures from all over the world, including a Raphael self-por-trait, AVatt’s famous ‘ Love and Death ’ and ‘ Love and Life,’ were burnt when a fire destroyed Gatton Hall, Merstham, the historic marble mansion of Sir Jeremiah Colraan, a member of the mustard firm, who was absent in France.”
