AIR MAIL CONTRACTS
THE SENATE INQUIRY EX-OFFICIAL ARRESTED FOR CONTEMPT. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, February 2. Mr William MacCracken, Assistant Secretary of Commerce in the Hoover Administration, was arrested to-day and charged with contempt of the Senate after his refusal to surrender records to the Senate Committee which is investigating alleged irregularities in the issuing of air mail contracts.
