MOSLEM DISCONTENT
RIOTING IN KASHMIR TROOPS FIRE ON MOB Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. CALCUTTA, February 3. A mob of 8,000 Moslems at Srinagar, Kashmir, overpowered the police and attacked the Government buildings. They attempted to storm the Treasury, which' was saved from destruction by the arrival of troops, which were compelled to open fire, and dispersed the mob. Many were killed and wounded. Early in the day a huge procession was held. This had previously been banned. The trouble was due to Moslem discontent at the delay in introducing the political reforms recommended by the Glancy Committee of 1932.
