LONG POINT TRAGEDY
BODY OF MR MENZIES FOUND Continued searching at Long Point by police and civilians resulted in the body of. Mr George Gibb Menzies being recovered yesterday afternoon in Groper Gut in practically the same position as that in_ which the bodies of the other two victims were found. The body was conveyed to Invercargill, where the funeral took place today. Under the charge of Sergeant Vaughan, assisted by Constable Dark (Owaka) Constable Irwin (Kaitangata), and a willing band of other helpers, the dragging operations have been carried out with great thoroughness and, under the circumstances, it is at least satisfactory to know that the bodies of all three victims of the distressing fatality have now been found. ;
