ST. KILDA BAND
The St. Kilda Band will occupy the Gardens rotunda to-morrow afternoon at'3.- In view of the Wellington contest, which takes place on February 19, the band has had many extra rehearsals and is playing exceedingly well. Those interested in band music will be'interested to know that the band will play the full programme of test music, which comprises the stirring quickstep march ‘ The 20tia Century ’; test .selections ‘Prometheus Unbound,’ by Granville Bantock; ‘ Princess Nnda,’ by Dennis Wright; and the hymn ‘ New, Rochdale,’ to-words ‘-Son of My Soul.’ Other items of a lighter nature will be included in the programme, and the ,public should not .miss this opportunity of hearing the band before its departure. A collection will bo taken towards the contest expenses.
