Shute, with his wife and 10 children, who arrived in London recently after being forced to .leave the United States, Mr Shute, who has been in America for 14 years, employed on Ellis Island, where immigrants are held, was given the alternative of parting with his family or returning to England, and he elected to return to his own country.
