OVER THE BORDER
Mr A. A. Thomson has written some excellent comedies of the English countryside, in which he describes quaint village characters with much success, and pictures the joys of living in the quiet and remote places after the unrestful life of London. Mr Thomson is also the author of companionable books of Scottish travel. In ‘ Borders of Enchantment ’ he has produced an entertaining tale of lighthearted lovers, set amid the romantic Border hills, the land of Scott and a thousand stirring legends. The author in this novel displays his gifts of character and comedy, against the background of Scotland’s enchanted borders, with their lovely scenery. Our copy of ‘ Borders of Enchantment ’ is from the publishers (Herbert Jenkins, Limited),
