SIR FRANCIS BOYS
LUNCHEON IK LONDON Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, January 30. (Received January 31, at 12.30 p.m.) One hundred and twenty leading representatives of the meat, farming, and shipping interests gave a luncheon for Sir Francis Boys. Sir Gordon Campbell presided. The speakers included Sir Thomas Wilford and the presidents of the National Farmers’ Union and the Meat Retailers’ Association.
[A message received on December 28 stated: The Minister of Agriculture (Mr W. Elliot) has appointed Sjr Francis Boys chairman of a committee to consider the technical requirements of factory abattoirs in the processing and handling of meat offals and by-products. Sir Francis Boys is vice-chairman of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company, and was for eight years London manager of the company. He was for seven years on sheep stations in New Zealand- and in business for sixteen years.]
