WIH m PLACE SYSTEM TO CONTINUE A special meeting of the committee of the Duiiedin Jockey Club was held yesterday afternoon for the purpose of considering the system to be adopted in
relation to tutalisator investments. The secretary submitted figures showing the investments during last year, when the win and place system had been in vogue, and it was thought desirable to continue it in the meantime, so that a comparison might be made between meetings this year and the similar meetings last year. Upon til is will depend what system will be adopted permanently, the committee being desirous of selecting that system which will meet with most popular favour. The present system—win and therefore prevail at the autumn meeting.
