NO. 4 DEPOT No. 4 South Dunedin depot will he closed next Thursday for stocktaking. MEETING AT THE OVAL On Sunday afternoon, at the Oval, a public meeting was held under the auspices of the N.U.W.M., Dunedin Central branch. The secretary gave the results to hand of the national strike ballot, showing that out of thirty-seven districts and camps, only three were against the strike action. Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch had taken a ballot last week, and their results had still to be known. Addresses were delivered by Messrs G. Geddes, A. B. Powell ,\ C. M'Arthur, and Mrs Jones Neilson. The following resolution was carried unanimously:— “ That this meeting of citizens declares its .solidarity with the Gisborne strikers, and pledges its support to them in their fight for better conditions.” The meeting was attended by 100 people.
