The Wafpiata Hotel is one of • the earliest buildings in the M'dniototo district. Jt was built of sun-dried bricks, but during the Christmas holidays of 1.932-33 it was destroyed by fire, and has just been rebuilt, the contractors (The Love Construction Co. Ltd.) completing their contract a fortnight before Christmas. The building now contains ten bedrooms, a dining room, sitting room, public bar, private bar, spacious sun porch, and adequate bathroom accommodation. The old brick walls wore reused as much as possible in the erection of the new building. Mr Gordon R.. Stone was the architect for tho work, which involved an expenditure of £2,300.
