BOOKS FOR UNEMPLOYED
THE KING'S GIFT (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright., RUGBY, January 26. The voluntary organisation set up to provide books for the unemployed has received a.gift of 270 volumes from the King. They consist mainly _of practical handbooks on gardening, trades, and handicrafts. The Prince qf Wales visited the Windsor soup kitchen to-day, when about 100 children of unemployed men were having a hot dinner. In the occupational centre in another part of the same building the Prince saw a number of unemployed men engaged in boot mending, carpentry, and other work.
