SAMARITAN RELIEF DEPOT.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,-—As usual, the month of January has been a particularly full and heavy month; so many of our friends away from home, so many social workers away or off duty, so few depots open to give relief, accounts for the extra work and strain on resources and strength. For these reasons I am compelled to ask all who can to come to our aid by a little assistance to start the month of February, which is also a drag. • 1 If those who have surplus vegetables and fruit in their gardens will remember the many families who require extra when children, are recovering from whooping cough or measles, many needy would he grateful. Every day in the . year, except Sundays, the Samaritan depot is open to receive and render help as circumstances demand. We will send for gifts, small or large, if donors ring Adjutant Coombs, 13-207. —I am, etc., Hannah L. Coombs, Samaritan Officer. January 27.
