NORTH QUEENSLAND RIVERS FLOODED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BRISBANE, January 25. (Received January 25, at 11 a.m.) Heavy rains continue to fall in North Queensland. Railway traffic north from Townsville is disorganised. The flood waters were 16ft over the railway line at Herbert River bridge. The Seymour River broke its banks and residents at Bemerside were forced to leave their homes. ■ David Woods, a cane farm manager, was drowned while crossing a flooded creek in the Inuisfail district. Cardwell recorded 20in in a day.
