WOOLLEN MILLS STRIKE EXTENSION OF DISPUTE Frees Ainociation—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, January 15. The strike of operatives at the Orange and Goulburn Woollen Mills last week has now extended to the mills in the metropolitan area, and it is expected by to-morrow that there will be 1,500 weavers on strike. This is bound to cause a general hold-up, involving 11,000 employees. The dispute concerns the wages of country operatives, which lately have been brought into line with those of similar workers in Victoria, where the rates have been' slightly less than in New South Wales.
