CYCLISTS' DISPUTE
POSITION OF AMATEUR ATHLETIC- CLUBS . (Fit Osnip Fans Association.] WELLINGTON, January 15. The Council ol the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association decided that the question ot combined athletic and cycling clubs that has been . affected by the cyclists’ dispute should be considered at the next meeting. The following statement has been forwarded to the five centres:— M In view .of the representations made by. the N.Z.A.A.A. Administration Committee the council, at its last meeting, decided in the meantime that centres and clubs may put on programmes of such amateur, cycling events as they may think lit,, subject, however, to the events being . controlled by amateur athletic officials. Any amateur athletic centre or club may, if it thinks it expedient, utilise the services of such amateur cycling. officials as deemed desirable.” The centres are empowered to act on this resolution.
