Although Germany’s population has increased bv 2,700,000 in the last eight; years, she is still 2,500,000 short of her, pre-war 67,000,000, according to Dr, Burgdorfer (chief of the Stastistical Bureau). Dr Burgdorfer declares that; Germanv has lost 13,000,000 of her ( population since 1914, including 6,000.000 due to the war, of which 2,000,000 were killed and 750,000 died Giving. to the blockade. The births fell by 3,500,000, and the remainder of the loss was due to annexations from Germany. Ha also emphasised that there was a great decrease in post-war births.
