MEETING OF ASSOCIATION A meeting of the Otago Yacht and Motor Boat Association, held last night, was attended by Messrs A. W. Hazlewood (chairman), W. 0. Martin, J. Small, C. Smith, A. Challis, E. T. Mollor, R. Cardno, T. Anderson, W. Webber. A. Burt, and T. Brookes. The Port Chalmers Yacht and Motor Boat Club forwarded a challenge for the 12ft bin Z class championship, to he held at Dunedin.—lt was decided that the challenge be forwarded to the New Zealand Yachting Council. The Macandrew Bay Regatta Committee forwarded a list of its races for approval.—-it was pointed out that the rules of the association had not boon complied with, in that the amount ol the prizes was not stated. The president and secretary were appointed a sub-committee to approve the races il found correct. A letter was received from the secretary of the Otago Annual Regatta Committee asking that its regatta day be kept free of any other aquatic function, as it would he that body’s jubilee. Jt was then pointed out that the Ravensbourne Club had set down club races for that day.—The secretary of the latter club wrote asking that the date of its club races be altered.—Granted. The Takapnna Boating Club wrote intimating that the 1934 Cornwell Cup contest would be held on January 20. Received. The Secretary of the New Zealand Yachting Council wrote acknowledging the association's challenges for the Sanders Cup championship and for the 12ft (jin championship. It was also intimated that the governing rules of the New Zealand speedboat championship had not been finally approved. A draft of the rules was also received. The rules were discussed at length, and several alterations suggested. A copy of suggested specifications for the proposed X class boats was received from the Canterbury Association, and it was resolved to hold them over till the Wellington proposals were received. Mr Martin gave notice of motion that the date of the Z class championships be altered to January 24.
