TOWN V. COUNTRY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 29. Bright .sunshine, with a light southerly. formed ideal conditions for the commencement of the annual Town v. Country match. Town had first use of a fast wicket, and at lunch had scored 98 for one wicket. The afternoon was notable for fho collapse of the Town team for a total of 191, and tho miserable batting performance of the Country players, who wore all dismissed for 101. Some of them threw their wickets away in trying to lift accurate-length balls over the fence, and attempting impossible runs. Town commenced their second innings with twenty minutes to play, and at stumps had lost one wicket for 38. With the exception of Dustin ((391 and one or two others, the batting was weak and disappointing. Throughout the day tho attendance was poor, averaging between 100 and 150.
