ANGLICAN CLUB’S MEETING The Anglican Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club held the first of a series of club sports meetings at the Caledonian Ground last night, the conditions- being good except for a wind which freshened up later m the evening. Thanks to Mr R. Maxwell, the track was in good order. Mr R. 0. Johnson was the starter, and the other officials were Messrs C. V. Benzoin, J. Logan, and J. W. Johnson. Results: 100 YARDS ROBERTS CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. W. A. C. Pullar 1 A. L. Price 3 W. A. Black 3 Eight starters. This event was run against a head wind, and all rose together; Pullar quickly forging ahead to win by a vard, half a yard between second and third. Price coming up fast at .the finish. Time, llsec. HOP, STEP, AND JUMP QUENNELL CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. R. O. Johnson I M. Murray ... - P. Souter 3 Distance, 43ft 4in. Johnson showed signs of getting back to form. HAMMER THROWING. QUENNELL CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. P. Souter ... 1 R. 0. Johnson 2 AY. Burridge ••• 3 Distance, 70ft 4in. 1,300 METRES DECATHLON CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. C. R. Holmes 1 M. Murray 2 W. Burridge 3 Burridge led over the first lap. Then Holmes took charge, increasing his lend to win comfortably. - Murray came up fast to head Burridge in the straight. Time, 4min 48sec.
