Misses Claire Dennis and Frances Rult, two Australian champion swimmers, arrived from Sydney by the Monowai for a three weeks’ tour. (Received November 28, at 11.30 a.m.) At a meeting of the Lawn Tennis Association of Australia the president, Mr Norman Brookes, submitted _ a scheme for bringing the two loading players from England, France, America, Japan, South Africa, and New Zealand, and one from, Spain to play in the Australian championships at Melbourne during the centenary celebrations in January, 1935. AMATEUR ATHLETICS INTERCLUB SCRATCH MEETING In addition to the iuterclub scratch events on Saturday at the Caledonian Ground, it lias been decided to hold a 100yds handicap for ladies and a ladies’ relay. The grading of the athletes will be completed to-morrow.
