THE ONE CHARM THAT WORKS
Collecting charms ami curios is the interesting hobby of a world traveller who recently arrived in New Zealand. In his strange collection he has quaint articles that are alleged to possess mysterious powers of keeping al) sorts of devils and misfortunes away. Ho remarks, however, that none of his charms can keep away colds. Everywhere he goes he is continually troubled with them. “ But here in New Zealand you Lave something that beats all my charms for getting rid of colds, and that’s your Baxter’s Lung Preserver. It’s the one charm that does work.” That is typical of the tribute paid by visitors to Baxter’s Lung Preserver— New Zealand’s wonderful cough remedy. “ Baxter’s ” is the purest and most pleasant remedy possible. A few doses .breaks any cold, clears the throat, and quickly drives the trouble away. The most severe cold, the greater the need for “ Baxter’s,” especially as “ Baxter’s ” tonic properties help restore strength and resistance. Got “ Baxter’s ” to-day. Is 6d, 2s Od, and 4s fid at all chemists and stores. — [Advt.]
Husband (rending cable news) : “ I'm convinced that China needs a firm hand.” Wife: 11 Yes, 1 told the new maid that, but it’s no use,”
