AMERICA AGAINST WAR SPEECH BY PRESIDENT Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright. WASHINGTON, October 14. President Roosevelt, in an address to the nation on Friday night, said: No threat to world peace emanates from: the United States, for we are overwhelmingly against war, and as a nation are seeking no additional territory at the expense of our neighbours.” The President was addressing the third annual women’s .conference on current problems in New York. He added that only through coustant < education and the stressing of the ideals of peace could those nations threatening the peace of the world by imperialistic desires be brought into line with the majority against such a policy.
