TRAVELLER FINED
INTOXICATED IN CAR [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 18. James Douglas Nelson, a traveller, was tiffed £2O by Air Stilwell, S.AL, foxbeing in a state of intoxication when in charge of a motor car. Counsel said his state of intoxication was probably due not to tho amount of liquor taken, but to his physical condition, as he was overtired after a very heavy week. The magistrate said he would not cancel the license, because the car was necessary to defendant’s livelihood, but he wanted to impress on him that, whatever his previous good record, at th- time lie was driving he was just as big a menace as any other person who had taken liquor and was in charge of a car.
