A CALL TO LABOUR.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The undoubted success and extraordinary popularity of Mrs E. R. M’Combs. ALP., and her lingo majority should stimulate the Labour Party to prepare for future engagements, as there is no doubt the Coalition Government has at last received the first instalment of a mandate of no-con-deuce from the Lyttelton electors. I trust the Labour Party will select careful and well-balanced men to contest the Dunedin Central and Dunedin West seats. The first step essential to a_ more stable New Zealand is the revision of legislation which has created so much unrest, such as the extension of the life of Parliament to four years, uncontrolled inflation, and the abolition of the Arbitration Court measures, which are retarding the country’s progress towards economic stability.—l am, etc, Arm-Hm.En. September 16.
