BRIAN BORU RETURN. The Brian Born return for the week was 530 z for 86 hours working.—Greymouth Press Association. GRAIN REPORT. Messrs Donald Reid and Co. Ltd. report as follows: Wheat. —Milling wheat has practically ceased offering. September rates are as follows;—Tuscan, 3s BJd; Hunters, 3s 10id; Velvet, 4s o*d (sacks extra), f.o.b. main ports. An, advance of another halfpenny' all ov’er next month will finalise values for 1933. Fowl wheat is not meeting with much inyquiry. Consumers are only buying as stocks become exhausted. Ex store prices run from 3s to 4s per bushel (sacks extra). . Oats.—Absence of business keeps this market in a very depressed state. If it were not for the demand there would be no sales at all. Nominal value to growers are as follow:—A gi;ade, Is 3d; B grade,.ls (sacks extra), on truck country sidings. Chaff.—There is ample of this commodity for all inquiries. Only an odd full truck, is sold, and £3 10s is value when the chaff is of good, bright, heavy quality. Medium and inferior chaff is slow of sale at reduced rates. Potatoes. —Canterbury market reports show ah improvement in values. This is not reflected here as yet. Merchants have still a fair quantity to dispose of. These potatoes were bought at the beginning of the season. Owners are offering them cheap, consequently weakening the' market all round ; £3 10s, ex stored is top value to-day. SYDNEY STOCK EXCHANGE.
