The death rate from road accidents is higher in Johannesburg, Capetown, and Pretoria, than in the six largest cities of Great Britain, the ratio being, in Pretoria thirty, in Johannesburg twenty-four, and in Capetown twenty-two per 100,000, London’s figure ia 15.4 per 100.000. .
