DRUIDISM
The Otago Lodge met last Monday, when A.D. Bro. Shepherd presided over a large attendance. Correspondence included invitations from Mistletoe Lodge for its anniversary meeting and West Harbour Lodge for its jubilee at the end of the month, tho A.D. and V.A. to officially represent the lodge. Regret was expressed at hearing of two cases of sickness at Invercargill and Christchurch of two old members. G.V.P. Bro Ruston and his officers paid an official vieit, and were heartily welcomed, as also wore members of West Harbour, All Nations’, Linden, Royal Oak, and Enterprise Lodges. After business the lodge adjourned for a social evening, and the many friends were able to thoroughly enjoy the very fine programme presented by a host of juvenile performers. Following supper, an hour’s dancing concluded a very enjoyable evening. The meeting of Enterprise Lodge, No. 2, was held last Wednesday, when Arch Druid Bro. W. Brown was greeted by a large attendance of members The bards’ reportdisclosed a large amount of sickness amongst the members, and sick pay to tho amount of £lB was passed for payment. O.G Bro. Rees resigned his office, and Bro. W Smail) was elected to fill the vacancy. It was decided to pay an official visit- to Royal Oak Lodge next meeting. During the evening a Past Arch Druids Competition was held, six members competing, and after a very difficult task the judge, Bro. E. H Bezett. awarded the prize as a tie between Bros, W, H- and A. T. Workman. Supper was handed round.
