INTEREST PAYMENTS
SOUTHLAND POWER BOARD GOVERNMENT MAKES DEFICIENCY GOOD [Per United Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, September 15. The amount of its half-yearly interest to London bondholders, £41,350, was paid into the bank to-day by the Southland Power Board. When converted into its sterling equivalent in London the amount will represent only £33,000, and the Government has announced its intention of paying the difference—£B,2so—thus enabling the bondholders to receive the full amount.
