GIRL ROBBED
BAG SNATCHIKG AT NEWCASTLE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, SYDNEY, September 15. A thief at Newcastle to-day snatched a handbag containing £4OO in cheques and £6O in cash from a girl employed at a local produce store. The girl was taking the money to a bank when a young man on a side walk suddenly leaped forward, grabbed the bag, tossed tho girl aside; and decamped on a motor cycle.
