BRITAIN’S NATIONAL DEBT
STATEMENT BY TREASURY Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 12. (Received September 13, at 11 a.m.) A Treasury statement shows that the National Debt at March 31 was £7,707,811,000. An accompanying list of the loans still owing to Britain includes Russia £1,118,972,000, Turkey for Crimean War assistance £2,260£00, and Egypt £3,517,000 for the Alexandrian indemnities.
