(Received September 13, at 10 a.m.) Two Poles, Colonel Filipowicz and Captain Lowoniewski, have started on an attempt to beat the world long-dis-tance record. They- are flying due east over the Soviet Union. CRASH IN RUSSIA. MOSCOW, September 12. (Received September 13, at 11.45 a.m.) Filipowicz crashed at Choebokari, and was injured. Lewoniowski escaped by means of his parachute.
