CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER
SEQUEL TO MOTOR ACCIDENT (Pek United Press Association.] WHANGAREI, September 12. Consequent on fatal injuries received by Mrs Eunice Emily Mary Gordon, a passenger in a car which collided with a train on the Kamo road level crossing on August 2 a verdict was returned that her subsequent death in hospital was duo to a fracture of the skull and laceration of the brain. The car driver, Warwick Ruysdael Claris, a farmer, of Mama (a brother of the daceased). Avas to-day charged with manslaughter in that,' by negligent driving, he caused the death of Mrs Gordon. Ho pleaded not guilty, and ivas committed for trial at the Supreme Court in Auckland. Bail Avas fixed at £IOO.
