THE LOURDES VISION
GIRL TO BE CANONISED VATICAN CITY, August 26. This morning the Pope heard and approved the cause regarding the life of Bernadette Soubirous, of Lourdes, the peasant girl to whom the Virgin Mary is said to. have revealed herself on several occasions in 1858. It is tho grotto in which this is reported to have occurred that draws thousands of pilgrims to Lourdes every year from all parts of the world. The canonisation of the girl will take place on December 8.
