LORD ROTHERMERE'S PROPOSAL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. VANCOUVER, September 5. A report from Murray Bay, Quebec, states that Lord Hothermcre, who is spending a vacation there, advanced a now monetary scheme, which, he said, he had discussed with the Prime Minister (Mr H. B, Bennett) recently. “If the Canadian currency was linked with that of Australia and New Zealand at a discount of 25 per cent, in ratio to sterling, and if the Canadian dollar was worth intrinsically 75 cents, we would be able to undersoil nearly all primary producing countries in wheat, lumber, meat products, and base metals,” he said.
