This function was a huge success, about 200 couples being present. Quite a number took part in the parade of fancy costumes, much to the merriment of the onlookers. The No. 4 District Social Committee wishes to thank the Triumph Lodge (No. 9) for their kindness in arranging this function, also the bands for their splendid music, and Station 4ZL for broadcasting the entertainment. The proceeds, as usual, will be used in the relief of distress in this district. SCHEME MO. 5 D.C.C. Reserves Department.—Group 604 will report for work at 8 a.m. tomorrow at the Opoho Football Ground. SEED SOWING DEMONSTRATION A seed-sowing demonstration will bo given by Mr F. H.
