THE ‘SPORTS SPECIAL’
There is promise now of good weather for to-morrow, and given that there is a very attractive array of local sport to chronicle in the ‘ Sports Special ’ to-morrow night. The chief Rugby attraction will be ’Varsity A v. Southern, though the second encounter of Kaikorai and Taieri holds much interest. In the Soccer code high interest attends the meeting of the unbeaten Maori Hill and High School Old Boys, whom many pick to encompass the downfall of the doughty hillites. These matches and all others in the three codes, as well as hockey, basketball, cycling, and the South Canterbury Hunt and Auckland races, will be fully reported.
