'N IGH T AFTER NIGHT ’

LUXURIOUS NEW YORK SETTINGS Paramount’s ‘ Night After Night,’ which features George Raft, Constance Cummings, Wynne Gibson, Mao West, and Alison Skipworth (who scored such a tremendous success as the Countess in ‘ The Sporting Widow ’) will bo the next attraction at the Strand Theatre. Tho action of the film is set in a luxurious New York night club, an old brown stone mansion rescued from decay to servo as an oasis for Manhattan's wealthy thirsty. Raft has his first loading role as proprietor of fho club. Miss West and Muss Gibson are two of Raft’s ex-sweethearts, who find more .difficulty in breaking the tie with him than lie does. Miss Cummings is seen in the role of a society debutante. Her frequent visits bring her in contact with Raft, who is fascinated by her. A queer romance develops between tho two—a romance which is prccepitated into startling channels by a series of unusual events.
