Colonel Brinsmead is to be retired on superannuation from the post of Controller of Civil Aviation. He has not fully recovered from the accident in an aeroplane smash in Siam iu December, 1931, and his health will not permit him to resume duty. His successor has not been chosen, but it is understood that Squadron-leader Johnston, the present deputy-controller, will be promoted to the post.
