THE INDIAN LOAN,
TRIUMPH FOR CREDIT STABILITY
CALCUTTA, January 23. (Received January 24, at 12.5 p.m.) The loan issue induced a frantic rush of investors, resulting in the banks being unable to accept cash. The whole loan was taken up in Treasury Bills. It is regarded as a triumph for India s credit and stability, which will pave the way for the operation of a big conversion issue.
