BURNS ANNIVERSARY
The anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns is to be celebrated by the Dunedin Burns Club in the Concert/' Chamber of the Town Hall to-morrow, evening. The programme, as published in Saturday’s issue, has met with universal approval, and a packed house seems assured. The best possible talent has been secured, and the gems of Scotland will be rendered in a manner worthy of the occasion. The short" address is to be given by Mr W. Wood,of Invercargill, a Burns enthusiast,; and the vocal section is particularly strong, comprising such popular artists as Sirs Wilfred Andrews, Misses Mary Pratt and Dorothy Mackay, Messrs Arthur Macdonald, John Kennedy, A; M'Dowell, the quartet party, Miss D; Wheeler’s reel party, the Burns Choir,and the Pipe Band. With such a programme early booking is essential; Plans are as advertised.
