DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE National Bank of New Zealands had improved inquiry when they were quoted on the Dunedin Stock Exchange this morning buyers offering £3 7* 6d, with sellers asking £3 Bs, while sellers of Unions eased to £B, without any inquiry being made. These shares were still cum dividend. ■!' No buyer offered more than 13s lid "or National Insurances, and the closest seller asked 14s 2d for them. Standards were wanted at £2 4s 6d, without a seller quotCoals were firm at Us, and buyers improved to 10s 3d; and a parcel of Westport-Stocktons (ord.) was offered at Is, without any buyer bidding. No seller responded to an offer of 12s 6d for Kauri Timbers, while for Mosgiel Woollens buyers were prepared to give £6 Ids. Preference Smith and Smiths were wanted at 10s, but the shares were not obtainable.
