DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE National Bank of New Zealands had improved inquiry when they were quoted on the Dunedin Stock Exchange this morning buyers offering £3 7* 6d, with sellers asking £3 Bs, while sellers of Unions eased to £B, without any inquiry being made. These shares were still cum dividend. ■!' No buyer offered more than 13s lid "or National Insurances, and the closest seller asked 14s 2d for them. Standards were wanted at £2 4s 6d, without a seller quotCoals were firm at Us, and buyers improved to 10s 3d; and a parcel of Westport-Stocktons (ord.) was offered at Is, without any buyer bidding. Goldsbrough, Morts "were for sale at £1 4« lid, and there was inquiry for National Mortgage “ B ” issue shares at 16s, without any response to either. Buyers again offered Us for paid-up N.Z. Refrigerating shares, but the seller’s price was sixpence more. A late sale of the contributing issue at 4s was reported, after which buyers offered 3s lOd for them, and sellers rose to 4s 2d. British Tobaccos had a slightly wider market, buyers having eased to £1 Us 9d, but sellers were firm at £1 12s 6d. A buyer of Colonial Sugars came on the market at. £52, but no shares were offered. No seller responded to an offer of 12s 6d for Kauri Timbers, while for Mosgiel Woollens buyers were prepared to give £6 Ids. Preference Smith and Smiths were wanted at 10s, but the shares were not obtainable. Wilsons Cements were wanted at £1 6s, while Dominion Fertilisers were in demand again at 10s, a seller coming on the market at Us 6d. , • , Sellers of Tooth’s Brewery shares reduced their price to £1 14s Bd, but there was no > inquiry for them, whiio Carltons were on the market at £1 16s, also without inquiry. In the mining section Waihia were wanted at £1 Is 3d, with sellers at £1 2s. There was a one shilling market for Broken Hill Souths, buyers offering £2 ss, and sellers asking £2 '6s. Sales Reported.
