RIFLE SHOOTING

TRIANGULAR MATCH WIK FOR KIWI On Saturday a triangular match was fired between the Dunedin, Oamaru, and Kiwi Defence Rifle Clubs on the Pelichet Bay Range. Despite the wet and foggy wea. ther, the Oamaru members turned up to the number of sixteen. The conditions were seven shots and two optional sighters at 300yds, 500yds, and 600yds. Sixteen members of each club fired, and the twelva highest scorers counted in each instance. Visibility lit times was decidedly bad, and, considering the conditions from a shooting man’s point of view, the scoring was very creditable. The match resulted in a win for Kiwi, Oamaru being second, and Dunedin third. Highest score on the target was made by Rifleman R. Gillick (Kiwi), with an excellent 102 (ex 105) —a brilliant performance. Scores: —
