A MEDIAEVAL BANQUET TO TEACH HISTORY.—The Upton Hall Convent, in Cheshire, has succeeded in making “dry old history as interesting as possible by encouraging the pupils to perform in costume many of the incidents which they have to learn. Here are the girls at a mediæval banquet at which all the old customs were observed. Tapestried walls and rushes on the floor added to the realism of the occasion.
