Ou Wednesday evening the officers and members of Enterprise Lodge met for the first time in the Now Year, when Arch Druid Bro. S. C. Hopkins presided over a large attendance of members. Before the business of the evening was commenced the secretary announced the death of one of the older members in thp person of Bro. James Davidson, the members rising in silence in respect to the late brother. The secretary presented the half-yearly balance-sheet, and it was gratifying to see the sound financial position of the lodge. District President Bro. A. C. Diimble paid an official visit, and was received with musical honours. The bards’ report disclosed that there is still a large amount of sickness amongst the members, and sick pay amounting to £2l was passed for payment. During the evening one proposition for membership was handed in. ILP. Bro. bumble, assisted by P.G.P. Bro. S. W. Jacobson, installed the officers. The secretary reported on the Christinas cheer fund, and said that next lodge night a final report would be presented. A letter was received from the grand secretary advising that P.A. Bro. E. H. Bezett had won the D.P. office for No. 2 district.
