Seventy costumes of the Louis XIV. period were brought out from the reserves of the Coirieclie Francaise for a charity ball held in Paris lately for the benefit of the Retired French Theatrical Artists’ Home at Pont-aux-Dames. For the first time since 1710 tlve Comedie Francaise has given a ball of this kind, one of the attractions of which was a parade of costumes of roles from Molicre’s works.
